Euromoney will hold its inaugural Iceland Conference on 12 April 2016 in London. It will gather over 150 policymakers, business leaders and investors to discuss and analyse the outlook for the economy.
Since 2008’s collapse of the banking sector, Iceland has undergone a significant period of restructuring. The harsh realities of the crisis years have allowed Icelandic policymakers to implement important reforms, which have in turn allowed the country to rapidly return to growth. This remarkable turnaround has resulted in the international community looking at Iceland as an investment destination once more – the sovereign and banks have returned to the international bond markets, clearly showing a sign that investor sentiment is improving. The recent announcement by the Icelandic government of its plan for the lifting of capital controls has been met with an extremely positive response – the markets have responded well and the ratings agencies have upgraded both the sovereign and banks.
There could not be a better time for this inaugural Euromoney Iceland Conference. Join us at this exciting and timely event for a full day of keynote speeches, editorially driven panel discussions, networking breaks, and sponsored workshops.
